Emily Robinson is a multidisciplinary artist known for her acting work in projects like TRANSPARENT, EIGHTH GRADE, and PRIVATE LIFE. Her work has received recognition by way of a SPECIAL DRAMA DESK AWARD for the ensemble and creative team for The Orphans’ Home Cycle, and a SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARD nomination for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series for the cast of TRANSPARENT.
Emily has also received accolades for her directorial work including the EMERGING ARTIST IN FILM ARTEMIS ARROW AWARD presented at POWfest and the JURY AWARD FOR BEST NARRATIVE SHORT at the Reeling Film Festival. Her debut short, VIRGIN TERRITORY, premiered at LA Film Festival and screened at over twenty film festivals. It was later developed into a television pilot. Her sophomore short film, HEARSAY, premiered at Lone Star Film Festival.
Emily’s debut novel, CONSUMED, will be released October 2023 by Grey Borders. Her writing has been recognized at festivals and competitions such as Raindance Film Festival, ScreenCraft, Prague Independent Film Festival, Independent Filmmaker’s Showcase: Los Angeles IFS Film Festival. Emily’s words can also be read in publications such as Teen Vogue, HelloGiggles, and Dry River.
Emily received her BA in Creative Writing from Columbia University, and is represented by United Talent Agency and Foundation Media Partners.
